The 1st #SMASHCANCER began at Delta High School by current IHSTeCA President Tim Cleland and the Delta Eagles as they played host to Coach Jini Morgan and the Yorktown Tigers on May 1st, 2012.   Both presented the idea at the 2013 State Coaches Clinic as an opportunity to give for all schools willing to take on this special one match event.  Players from both teams were hard to tell apart as they put on different color shirts to represent the different forms of cancer.
